1966 Canada Voyageur $1 Dollar Coin SKU# 278918C
Own a piece of Canada's rich monetary history with this Voyageur silver dollar coin from 1966. The reverse side depicts an Indigenous guide and a Voyageur, a travelling agent for a fur company, paddling a canoe by an islet with bundles of goods; the bundle at the right has HB, representing the Hudson's Bay Company. Two wind-swept trees can be seen and the vertical lines in the background represent the northern lights. A fascinating coin you won't want to miss out on.
1966 Canadian Voyageur $1 Dollar Coin:
- Obverse reads: "ELIZABETH II D.G. REGINA" with a right facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II
- Reverse reads: "CANADA DOLLAR 1966" with image of an Indigenous guide and a Voyageur paddling in a canoe
- Coin comes in a carboard flip.
