This set of five 2002 quarters from the Denver mint was assembled by the U.S. Mint's 50 State Quarter Series.
Features:
- Obverse: Profile of George Washington facing left. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / QUARTER DOLLAR" and in smaller font on either side of profile "LIBERTY / IN GOD WE TRUST" D for Denver Mint
- Reverse
- Tennessee. Reverse image of a guitar, trumpet fiddle and sheet music above a banner, "MUSICAL HERITAGE". Reverse inscriptions: TENNESSEE / 1796 / 2002 / E PLURIBUS UNUM
- Ohio. Theme is birthplace of aviation pioneers. The reverse features an early aircraft and an astronaut superimposed as a group on the outline of the state, and stars. Reverse inscriptions: OHIO / 1803 / BIRTHPLACE OF AVIATION PIONEERS / 2002 / E PLURIBUS UNUM
- Louisiana. Reverse of the coin has an image of Louisiana's state bird, the Pelican, a trumpet with musical notes and an outline of the Louisiana Purchase Territory. Reverse inscriptions: LOUISIANA / 1812/ LOUISIANA PURCHASE/ 2002 / E PLURIBUS UNUM
- Indiana. On the reverse is an image of an superimposed on an outline of the state, and 19 stars which signify that the state was the 19th admitted into the Union. INDIANA / 1816 / CROSSROADS OF AMERICA / 2002 / E PLURIBUS UNUM
- Mississippi. Reverse of the coin has a depiction of the state flower, the Magnolia. Reverse inscriptions: MISSISSIPPI / THE MAGNOLIA STATE / 2002 / E PLURIBUS UNUM.
- Coins are in a hard plastic display case entitled "2002 Denver Set"
- Plastic case in turn has a paper cover.
- Certificate of Authenticity from the Cable Shopping Network that these coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition and were removed from their government holders by trained experts in gloved hands.
