1935 US Hawaii Overprint $1 Silver Certificate Banknote                                SKU# 271333C

This US Silver Certificate bank note was overprinted during WWII as an emergency issue after the attack of Pearl Harbor. The intent of the Silver Certificate Hawaii overprints was to easily distinguish U.S. currency captured by the Japanese forces in the event of an invasion of Hawaii and render the bills worthless. Whether you're a seasoned collector, or just starting out, these bills are definitely something you won't want to miss out on!

- Obverse: "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR IN SILVER PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND, SERIES 1934A"

- Shows "HAWAII" overprint on both faces
- Both faces also show ink stamps which read "PASSED BY NAVAL CENSOR"
