- Reverse reads: "XI GAMES - XI JEUX, COMMONWEALTH EDMONTON 1978" and features the emblem of the Games in the centre, and the official symbols of the ten sports which comprise the Games along the perimeter
- Coin comes in protective plastic case and inlaid in a plastic frame which is housed in a collectors clamshell case which has its own cardboard sleeve.
